Urban areas face increasing climate change impacts, such as flooding, extreme heat, and environmental degradation. Nature-based Solutions (NbS) offer a powerful and integrated approach to address these impacts while delivering social, economic, and environmental co-benefits.

This course has been developed as part of UNEP-CCC’s NbS project in Zambia, Mauritius, and India, funded by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Danida).

The course has been designed to meet the needs of NbS practitioners and is based on a capacity-building and enhancement stocktake exercise, conducted with relevant national, subnational, and civil society stakeholders. It brings together the state-of-the-art knowledge around NbS, integrating the latest literature and relevant case examples from UNEP-CCC’s project portfolio and beyond.

This course has been developed as part of UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre’S (UNEP-CCC) Loss and Damage (L&D) project in Zambia, Mauritius, and India, funded by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Danida).

The course is a direct result of a capacity-building and enhancement stocktake exercise, conducted with relevant national, subnational, and civil society stakeholders. It builds on the latest literature and relevant case examples from Danida and beyond.
